Illustrated Children’s Books was set up in 2009 because of our great love and affection for children’s books from the Golden Age of Children’s Book Illustration; the period from c.1870 through to the late 1930s.
We realized when looking through traditional bookshops and on the Internet that books such as ours were simply not widely available anymore, and if you could locate copies they were either priced very high or were in a generally poor state.
We became determined to reissue these beautiful books and make them available once again to a modern audience, to love and cherish as children and adults have done generations ago.
The artistry and brilliance of such illustrators as Walter Crane, Randolph Caldecott, Kate Greenaway, E. Stuart Hardy, Harry Clarke, Willy Pogany and many others should never be allowed to fade away.
ICB have an exciting schedule of new releases in the coming months and are proud to present many lesser known but equally brilliant illustrators a worldwide audience have yet to discover.
